Why tourist come to see

Tourism is allowed in selected areas of Corbett Tiger Reserve so that people get an opportunity to see its splendid landscape and the diverse wildlife living here. 
Jim Corbett National park located in valley of ramnagar (Nainital).Corbett is full of green beauty,here tourist can observe many varieties of trees (Chir, Anauri and Bakli ).


Tourist can get opportunity to see different varity of animals,which is very rare like Leopards, Jungle Cats, Fishing Cats (a rare species), Caracal Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Langur, Rhesus Monkey, Cheetah, Sambar, Pada (Hog Deer), Muntjac Bear (Barking Deer), Ghoral (Mountain Goat),
Martens, Civets, Mongoose, Otters, Porcupines, Jackals, Pangolins and Macaques.







Visitors can also see few numbers of reptiles here which is Gharials (fish eating crocodiles), Muggers (another species of crocodiles), Monitor Lizards, Turtles, Cobras, Pythons, Sal forest Tortoise, Russell's viper and kraits.








In corbett park morethan 600 types of birds are available, in these some are Herons, Darters, Cormorants, Lapwings, Paradise Flycatchers, Munias, Weaver birds, Eagles, Black throated Payas, Mynas, Kingfishers, migrant Gulls, Kalij Pheasants, Grebes, Grey Lags, Snipes, Harriers, Ospreys, Minivets, Babblers, Hornbills, falcons and Stone Curlews.

Overview

In the year 1934 "Sir Malcolm Hailey" enounced the name "jim corbett park". In 1936 during the time of United Province national park Act it became the first national park of india.
After enouncing national park it is "Jim Corbett National Park" of india.
